The most effective tutorials occur twice a week. At the beginning of the week, students are finalizing assignments due in a few days. At the end of the week, students are scheduling time to complete their assignments due the following week. For this reason, I encourage twice-weekly tutorials.

Similarly, lessons are most effective when students are encouraged to stay focused on their goals. They see progress and this motivates them and builds confidence.
